You can use any format for the date, including things like 'yesterday'. However, avoid using slashes in the normal date format as it will assume the American format (MM/DD/YYYY) - 'DD-MM-YYYY' works OK for UK format.
I think that the meter will only show levels up to 2 metres, so any levels above that may only register as 2 metres. However, if the levels show 2 metres, there is a good chance that Crashmore Lane will be flooded (and also Back Lane in Beckford).
